A Review of Birthday Parties at Funplex in Brighton

5th April 2017
My son turned five last week (where has the time gone?!) and after a successful party at Brighton Funplex three years ago, I decided to have it there again this time.
A lot seems to have changed for the better with Funplex parties since our last party, because this time we had our very own party host!

Jake greeted me and showed me to our party room which was already laid out with plates and cutlery for lunch.

He explained that he was there at my beck and call and ensured all of the adults had a drink, before running through his plans for our party. Plans included getting the kids to do some fun games around the soft play centre, including hide and seek which was a big hit.

The soft play equipment is still the same, but some new touches have been added. There’s more equipment in the baby/ toddler area, and they now offer laser parties which sound like great fun!

My son adores the huge slides and climbing frames so spent most of his time there, as well as the soft ball shooting area which tends to attract a lot of the adults too.

I loved not having to do any of the food this year apart from the cake. I told them that a couple of the children had dairy intolerance so they made sure there were suitable snacks for them too.
The food was a mixture of sandwiches, meats, cheeses, crisps, vegetables and dips, and it was clearly good because there was hardly any leftovers!

Jake asked my son to make a handprint on their special birthday wall, and he gathered the children to sing happy birthday.

Funplex can provide party bags as well, but I opted to make my own as I quite enjoy making sweet cones, and what kid doesn’t like being given a huge cone full of sweets?!

I loved the party this year as Jake made life a lot easier for me. I was able to sort the cake out, talk to the adults and not stress out about keeping the children entertained or trying to gather them together, which is hard when they’re running in various directions around a soft play centre.

All of the kids had a great time, and I love parties where they get to run off some of their energy whilst having fun.

Funplex has three different slides, multi level play frames, a 4-cannon soft ball area and also a separate 2-level play area with bouncy animal ride-ons for the younger children.

If you are anything like me and absolutely hate having to plan and prepare your kids’ parties, then I recommend going to Funplex where they do it all for you and the kids come out happy and exhausted.
