Family Day Out: Hello Kitty World at Drusillas

3rd June 2014

I’ve written about our fab experiences at Drusillas before, but now they’ve opened up their Hello Kitty Secret Garden, I wanted to share with you what it’s like!

Hello Kitty Ride-On Cars

We took the boys (my 2 year old son Chunk and my soon-to-be 3 year old nephew Curly) during the half term holidays.
The garden features three new rides: Tea Cups, Hopper and Car Ride.

The boys loved the tea cups, and had great fun spinning around as fast as they wanted, and they really enjoyed the car ride, but it wasn’t as long as they would have liked!

Unfortunately they could not test the 25ft Hopper, as there are height restrictions, but I’m sure it is one they will enjoy when they are a little bit older.
The secret garden also contains a Hello Kitty Parlour where the kids can have their faces painted, try temporary tattoos and also purchase Hello Kitty hair accessories.

There’s also an opportunity to meet Hello Kitty herself and have your picture taken, which I’m sure will be a very popular part of the garden!

The boys loved the rest of the park as usual, especially seeing all their favourite animals (this time it was the moo cows).

The play park was great as they’re a bit older and bigger since our last visit so they could enjoy the
trampoline area and the huge climbing frames.

And we can’t forget the Thomas the Tank Engine train ride- we have to do it at least once every time we visit!

We had a lovely lunch in one of their restaurants, but it was quite pricey, so I would recommend bringing packed lunches and treating yourselves to ice creams instead if you’re as broke as me!

The boys are looking forward to seeing Peppa Pig and Scoobie Doo during the summer at Drusillas, and there are loads more children’s characters planned which you can find on the park’s website.
