Baking With My Toddler: Cinnamon & Ginger Xmas Biscuits

    24th December 2013

Today (Christmas Eve) I decided to be creative and bake biscuits with my little boy, both for Santa tonight, and to put in treat bags for my son and his cousin for Christmas Day! I found a recipe for cinnamon and ginger snowmen biscuits, and decided to put my own little spin on it!

💔Openly grieving my Partner & Mum

Today was so hard my love. 6 weeks ago today we lo Today was so hard my love. 6 weeks ago today we lost you, and seeing you in a casket was heartbreaking.

I thought we'd have years before one of us had to say goodbye, you will be forever young.

I did many things to feel closer to you and will keep doing these things until I hopefully see you again.

Please never leave me. I promise to try to rebuild myself and carry on for you, with you in my heart and soul for the sake of those 3 beautiful children we have between us.

I cant and wont say goodbye to you, instead I will say until we meet again my soulmate, and just hope that we truly will.

Thank you for loving me and letting me love you in a way I've never experienced for those 7 and a half beautiful years.

I hope you're with my mum and our family keeping us left behind protected and safe.

Forever yours x

For National Grief Awareness Day I thought id give For National Grief Awareness Day I thought id give an insight into a typical day for me at the moment at the start of my grief journey.
Lost my mum 7 weeks ago after a long, painful end of life process, and then lost my partner without any warning 12 days later.
Im in acute grief stages, mixed with trauma from having two deaths and one being sudden, so it might differ from other people's experience of losing one person at a time.
If this or my many tearful reels in my darkest days help anyone, then it was worth it.

Waking up for the day after grief arrives is so di Waking up for the day after grief arrives is so different to how it was before. I miss just waking up feeling ok and looking at the day ahead.
Instead its pain, tears, high anxiety and intense fear upon waking that I spend hours trying to reduce before it starts again the next day.
I miss my body being calm and free from survival mode.
Will I ever have a normal pre grief morning ever again?!
