Chunk’s 4th Birthday Dino Day Out
Our Fun Birthday Day Out |
Chunk turned 4 last week (where has the time gone?!) so we went for a day out to see some dinosaurs!
Thankfully Chunk has kept up his passion for dinosaurs (rather than cars, yawn) as I love learning about them too.
We went to Paradise Park in East Sussex where we used to have a yearly pass, because it has plenty of dinosaurs, outdoor and indoor play areas, a small train and even a cactus area!
It’s interesting to compare what he enjoyed doing this time around compared to a couple of years ago when we used to go more regularly.
This time around he took more interest in learning about the gems, crystals, fossils and sea creatures rather than just pressing the buttons to make the dinosaurs heads move.
We were lucky in picking a day that was sunny so we were able to eat our lunch in the park and the boys loved climbing on the dinosaur play equipment and pretending to be scary dinos.
I love these sort of days out because it’s one of the rare times I’m not distracted by housework or work and can spend a whole day with him having my full attention. I just wish I could afford to have more of these days out!
I’m determined to find cheap and free day trips this summer though, and I’ve even entered a competition to try to win a family day trip worth £500 (well you gotta be in it to win it right?).
If you have any low cost ideas for me and my readers, comment below!
