Toy Review: Fireman Sam Vehicles & My Little World Pop Up Book

15th July 2015
Last week Chunk was sent some lovely toys and books to test out and here were our favourites.

Fireman Sam Vehicles

Chunk has loved cars, trucks and all things mechanical since he could crawl so the brand new Fireman Sam Vehicle Pack was inevitably going to be a hit with him.

He got a fire engine, truck and rescue boat and these instantly got taken to the garden to his new sand/water table.
The table has a number of hills and curves so he used these to enable his vehicles to do crazy stunts and it entertained him for ages!

The toys do have some small parts, but they appeared to be securely fitted; I guess time will tell!

They seem to be well made, so will hopefully last through all of the bangs, crashes and stunts he will make them endure, and he was even able to fit some of his tiny toy people inside them to do roleplay so it’s safe to say he was very pleased.

One, Two, Baa, Moo Pop Up Book

He was also sent a pop up book called One Two, Baa Moo (My Little World)
which focussed on basic counting. It arrived when we were on the trampoline in the garden, so we ended up laying on the trampoline and reading this book about five times.

Chunk loved all the different types of pop up images there were in the book and that it could be used interactively- I would get him to count the animals on the page and he would guess what sounds they would make.

The final page goes through all of the number sequences again which is a great refresher.

Chunk has known up to number 14 for quite some time, but lately he has started to miss the odd number out (mainly 5) so this book was helpful as it went up to number 5.

I love these kinds of books because Chunk gets to have fun and learn at the same time, and I can see how far he has developed and what I need to help him with!

Chunk received these items to test for the purpose of this review. No payment was received and all opinions are honest and my own.
