I’m currently looking for healthier snacks, as sitting around stuck indoors in winter has led to some naughty choices lately!
Food is a passion of mine, so to be successful in choosing healthier choices they have to taste good!
LOVE CORN are apparently the great alternative to crisps, as they’ve been called the ‘crunchiest snack ever’ by Whole Foods Magazine.
They’re plant based, vegan, gluten-free, Kosher and non-GMO, and contain very few ingredients which is healthier in itself.
They are basically roasted and seasoned corn kernels, and they come in four flavours: Sea Salt, Salt & Vinegar, Smoked BBQ and Habanero Chilli.
The snacks come in 20g snack packs, 45g portion bags and 1156g sharing bags.
I like them because they’re a nice change from crisps, and have a lot less calories and processed ingredients.
Using simple, non-processed ingredients means I feel happy using them in my son’s daily lunchbox too.
My son loves the Salt & Vinegar whilst my partner loves the Habanero Chilli as it has a great kick to it!
The snack packs are so handy when you are out and about or travelling long journeys.
I especially like that I don’t feel guilty giving them to my son when he wants his hundredth snack of the day. Home-school and being stuck indoors has really increased his appetite!
At least with these I don’t have to worry about sugar or high fat intake.
