Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
These days I tend to leave everything to the last minute, and with Mother’s Day this weekend I thought I would share some last minute gift ideas for anybody who is just like me!
Skin
Every mum loves a bit of pampering, because we hardly ever get the chance to have it with little ones! I’ve got awful dry skin at the moment, so have been using Hope’s Relief Intensive Dry Skin Rescue. It’s an award-winning Australian natural eczema cream, so it’s great for Chunk’s mild eczema too. It includes organic manuka honey, aloe vera and even licorice root which all help to soothe and repair my very dry and cracked skin. I’ve only had it for a couple of days and already am seeing an improvement!
The range also includes a soap-free cleansing bar, shampoo, conditioner, moisturising lotion and now a Goats Milk body wash and soap.
For those of you that don’t suffer from eczema or cracked skin, there’s another great cream that would make a lovely gift which is Nelson’s Calendula Cream. It contains flowers which moisturise your hands and smell pretty good too. It’s made from 100% natural calendula which has been used for many years to help soften skin.
Nelson’s also have an Arnica Bath and Massage Balm for all you lucky partnered-up mummies who get to be pampered with massages! It’s a relaxing balm that is designed to help soothe and relax you whilst nourish your skin- perfect!
Nails
Nella Milano has launched a series of stylish collections that are bang on trend and ideal for the mum with a love of colour. They have a range of colour selections and my favourite are Tyrian and the Forget Me Not ranges. These long lasting, rich polishes are pretty nice if I do say so myself, and some of the colours are lovely and bold, perfect for the upcoming Spring and Summer seasons!
Yummy Treats
Mother’s Day isn’t complete without some yummy chocolate! Whilst I can’t enjoy it this month because I’m being sponsored to avoid it for charity (sponsor me here!) my mum would love to receive some, and what’s better than some Thornton ‘I Love Mum’ truffles?
And after you’ve eaten them you can wash them down with some Shloer Celebration Pink Fizz, which is non-alcoholic. This fruity fizz even has a cork to pop to make you feel extra special and it’s only £2.99!
Shloer are currently running a competition to win a bespoke gift bag too, all you have to do is tweet them saying why your mum deserves a sparkling treat, using #SayItWithShloer
For the sporty mums out there Nuun offer a range of sugar-free hydration sports drinks. One tube has enough tabs to make twelve drinks and they are carb free! They come in a range of flavours and my favourite is Strawberry Lemonade.
Crafty Gifts
As well as the crafty ideas I’ve found using photographs and children’s paintings, I’ve recently come across another cool way to make something using Sugru.
It’s like play dough but glues things together, and it’s really clever- I’ve used it to stick shelves back together when they’ve collapsed!
Sugru have an arts and crafts section on their site and I’ve spotted these mugs that are so simple to do. You just get a stamp with the design of your choice on it, put some Sugru onto the cup and press the stamp into it. Then it’s done! You can put any message you like on there so your mum can have a personalised gift.

I was given these products to sample in order to complete this review post. No payment was given and all opinions are honest and my own.
