After spending two days shovelling in food, running around after an excited (and chest-infected) toddler, and shovelling in even more food, I’ve finally got around to unloading his Xmas stocking and wanted to show off his top 3 gifts!

1. Grubbies Dungarees
Chunk grew out of his previous dungarees recently, so when I saw this pair I had to get them as his final pressie! His nan thinks all toddler boys should wear dungarees and after I tried him in a pair I understood why- Whenever I’ve had professional photographs taken of Chunk, I’ve dressed him in dungarees as he looks smart, adorable and sooooo edible!

These dungarees are a gorgeous indigo denim and by looking at the quality of the denim and the detail in the stitching, they are clearly made incredibly well and will cope with Chunk’s jumping, climbing and daily tumblings.

I got these Grubbies from nelaned, which is a UK online company that sell children’s gifts and baby/toddler clothes by British brands including Olive & Moss, Pila Pala, Maxomorra, Fargform and Organic Zoo. Nelaned are also only one of 2 UK stockists that sell the new First Baby Shoes Kit, and as of today (Boxing Day) they are having a huge sale, so I know where his Xmas money will be going…

The Grubbies I bought were £40, but in the sale they’re only £28, and most brands are 20 – 40% off, so grab a bargain while you can!

2. Sweet Treats
I got these gorgeous little sweet bags for Chunk and his cousin for their stockings, and was so impressed with how well presented they were for such a cheap price. I got them from a new UK company, Candy Town, that offers a range of sweet treats that cost between £1.29 – £1.69 each.

Their treats include sweetie cones that can be personalised even down to their colour (from football strips to valentines), so I picked blue and white cones for my two boys. I want to try their hot chocolate cones next (yes mummy deserves presents once in a while too you know!).

Candy Town are setting up their own website in the new year, but in the meantime you can order their sweets via Twitter or Facebook.

They’re also setting up a wedding shop which will feature sweet trees!

3. Eczema-friendly Cleanser & Cream
Chunk has infant eczema, so everything from washing powder, clothing material, bath products to shampoo has to be specialised products that will help avoid any flare-ups. In my opinion there seems to be limited, affordable products on the market, so when I went to a Xmas fair recently, I was pleasantly surprised to find out I was wrong.

I was drawn to the Lush stall, which had lots of gorgeous, fruity smells, and whilst I was looking at their range, I overheard one of the staff telling another lady that they are eczema friendly. After looking into this myself, I found that this is because Lush make their products with ingredients used to help hot, itchy skin.

I chose their number one product, ‘Dream Cream’, because it’s a soothing and cooling cream which contains oats (these have been used for centuries to treat eczema), rose water (this has a therapeutic effect on skin), olive oil and cocoa butter.

I’ve been using it on Chunk for the last couple of days and so far there has been no reaction, and it has helped to keep his skin moist during these cold (and very rainy!) days.

Chunk’s eczema has meant he’s never even had a bubble bath, so the next product I’m going to try is their bath bomb, which apparently crumbles into the water to create bubbles, and kids can also play with it like play dough! Would love Chunk to be able to play with bath bubbles and to be able to give him a bubble hairstyle and beard!

What are your top 3 gifts that your children got for Xmas?

For the purpose of this post, I was given these items to review. No payment was received for this post, and all opinions are honest and my own.

The sweet bags are so reasonably priced, I think. Will get some for this year!
