Valentine’s Gift Guide 2021: For Him, Her & Them
Last year I compiled a Valentine’s Gift Guide for Him, but this year I’m opening it out for everyone!
Finding gifts for loved ones can be tricky, and now even more so whilst many shops are closed.
I’ve had a good look online and here’s my favourite gift ideas so far:
Homeware
Design and Beyond
I’ve found some gorgeous pieces at Design & Beyond this year, which would create gorgeous homeware gifts.
If your partner is a fan of interiors and home decor, Design & Beyond have vessels and dishes in various colours.
These include the Desert Range which are pieces inspired by, yes you got it, the desert. The colours remind me of sand, succulents and warm weather!
The Fluid Marble range is one of my personal favourites, as I like the black and white marble effects.
To add texture and pattern to your space, there’s the Terrazzo range which comes in various colours.
Products are handmade in South London using a material called Jesmonite, which has a smooth, concrete-like finish.
Jesmonite’s a lighter material than concrete and it’s a water-based material, so is more environmentally-friendly.
The colours are hand mixed so may vary slightly from the photos shown, and means each piece is unique!
These pieces are versatile, and can decorate desks, bathrooms, make plant pots and much more!.
Unique, Quirky Gifts
Personalised Songs & Performances
Send your love in a song this Valentine’s Day with an Annagrams Virtual ‘Valentine’s’ Greetings Song.
You can get a personalised song recorded as the soundtrack to your loved ones’ favourite memories.
The song includes a personalised video featuring the photos of your choice.
Professional singer Anna Reay has paused performing across the UK due to the pandemic and created Annagrams.
She provides personalised songs, recorded and framed, as well as virtual greetings songs and video messages.
Videos are sent by email, or a QR code alongside keepsake gifts that are ordered so they can open it via mobile.
Balloonista
Balloonista offers a vast array of lovely Valentine’s Day gifting options.
This includes balloon products such as giant helium-filled heart balloons, personalised bubble balloons and fabulous balloon bouquets.
They also have a handmade vegan-friendly candle range , hand crafted artisan chocolates and original greetings cards.
Most of their gifts are 100% biodegradable and for those that aren’t, Balloonista have a reuse/relove site on Facebook called Plastic Party Swap Shop.
The company also donate foil balloons to local charities to increase the smiles they generate.
When normal life resumes they’ll also be back to installing impressive balloon artistry in the wedding, entertainment, hospitality and corporate industries.
Accessories
Duo Towel for Couple from Tesalate
Tesalate offer a range of towels including this sand-free beach towel for couples which would be a lovely gift to incentivise your partner to book that beach holiday.
They offer a large range of designs for the duo and single towels, and I have the Phoenix design, because I like geometric/ mandala-themed art.
These beach towels are made from Absorblite™ fabric which is engineered to help sand slip off easily so you don’t take it home with you!
Tesalate Phoenix Beach Towel
The towels are ultra absorbent, as they can hold up to one litre of water without dripping.
Impressively, they dry in half the time of a regular beach towel, using rapid-dry technology.
I like how the towel is lightweight and easy to fold into the travel tote that comes with it.
Laptop Bags
There is a huge range of gift ideas for men on the TrendHim website and this year I am all about the laptop bags.
My partner got a laptop recently so this will be the perfect way to keep it safe while he’s out and about.
They have a great range of bags, including satchels, bags and sleeves, with some being leather.
The Lars Navy Laptop Bag is the one I chose, because it has a number of features that work for his needs.
(photo from TrendHim website)
It’s a large laptop bag lined with an inner compartment and a separate, padded pocket for the laptop to keep it protected.
There’s room for other accessories like a mouse, USB leads and his diabetic snacks, as there’s two securely zipped front pockets.
The strong fabric ensures it will last, and it comes in navy and tan colour or black.
It also has a removeable shoulder strap, allowing flexibility and comfort when carrying it about.
Workshops for Couples
Love Camp
Want to inject some passion back into your relationship, or are you single and looking for a partner?
The Online Love Camp may be the perfect thing to gift if so!
The camp consists of three online workshops, one of which is on Valentine’s Day. It’s led by Stella Ralfini, a Neo Tantra coach, Reiki Master and award-winning author of books including Chakra Psychology.
Stella’s been helping people for twenty years and designed the camp to provide tools for communication skills, everyday living and building thriving relationships.
The sessions are based upon Neo Tantra, a modernized version of tantra, which helps partners and singletons to find fun, and sensuality.
I’m giving away two tickets to this camp on the blog here too (closes 7th February 2021).
Books
Bumblebee Book Subscriptions
Bumblebee Online is a monthly book subscription that inspires your creativity. Each month receive a carefully curated book, plus clever creative prompts to inspire your own drawing, writing, making or cooking.
The subscription is ideal for keen readers, poetry lovers, arty types or anyone wanting to find mindful moments.
Whether you’re a complete beginner to creative writing or you need a bit more inspiration, the prompts will offer guidance and support.
You can gift a subscription so the person will receive poetry or collections of short stories.
Subscriptions can be for children or adults, which can be 3, 6, 12 or ongoing monthly packages. The books are from small, independent publishers which makes it less likely you’ve read the book before too.
Some of their profits go towards running free creative writing sessions for children from disadvantaged backgrounds who struggle with literacy.
Jewellery
LOVELOX
Jewellery is always a winner on Valentines for many people, and I love unique jewellery with that personal touch.
I’ve found a brand new brand which create personalised pieces that’s launching next week (3rd Feb 2021).
LOVELOX is a British jewellery brand specialising in personalised lockets.
These silver lockets are made by hand from precious metals and natural diamonds, and come in two chain lengths.
The lockets can be personalised with two photos, which you can upload directly onto the website.
They can be engraved on the front to add a sentimental touch, and there’s also a template to check before ordering.
I engraved the front with the initials of myself and my partner, and I like that you can choose the size and font.
Photos that I chose to include were of my partner, son, step-sons and dog to keep them close to my heart always.
Haircare
Hair Straighteners
If your partner is a fan of straightening their hair, these new Infrared Wet/ Dry Flat Irons by Jose Eber make a great gift.
This Flat Iron uses infrared light technology, which eliminates frizz and adds shine while styling.
The extra-wide high gloss plates work on any hair type and can be used on wet or dry hair.
There’s also fast heat up (100-200°C), a digital display and automatic shut off.
Any Other Ideas?
Please leave them in the comments below, the quirkier the better!
This is a collaborative post. Products were sent to test out for the purpose of this review. All opinions are honest and my own.
