A Bedroom Makeover!
I chose my bedroom because am I’m sure any fellow parent would agree, that’s the one room we all put to the bottom of the to do list as we tend to prioritise the childrens’ rooms and any others that are can be seen by the public!
My room is used as a storage cupboard most of the time, and lately it has been really irritating me, as this is the only room in our home that is just mine. I don’t even allow toys in this room as it’s the one room I have just for me! So clutter probably isn’t helping the whole relaxation vibe I’m trying to achieve (no wonder my sleep is so erratic at the moment!).
It’s always useful having another person’s opinion on your home as they can see things that you don’t, especially ways to give you more space or for it to look tidier, so I was very happy to get tips from Joanna.
She advised I change my awful canvas wardrobe for a white one and thankfully I managed to find one second hand within my budget. It’s amazing how much cleaner and bigger my bedroom looks just by having a wardrobe that has doors! So I can now be as messy as I would like with my clothes and nobody can see it!
She also suggested changing my book shelf for a white one to match, and I managed to find one on sale which also had two drawers at the bottom for extra storage. Putting that together was an absolute nightmare, but I got there in the end and love the result.
My plan is to paint my two chest of drawers white when I get some time, so watch this space for the tutorial!
I was provided with £100 to purchase items for the purpose of this post. No other payment was received and all opinions are honest and my own.
