Review: Tutti Rouge Lingerie
Let’s talk lingerie.
Being plus size, or mid-size (or who-the-heck-knows size) I’ve always had low confidence in showing off my body in lingerie.
But in recent years I’ve noticed a huge shift on social media promoting body positivity for all shapes and sizes.
This ‘love your curves’ movement has helped me care less about my bumps, scars and cellulite and to instead be comfortable in my own skin.
With this in mind (as well as my recent engagement) I’ve been looking for lingerie to suit my tall, curvy frame. I came across some amazing, real women wearing Tutti Rouge on Instagram so thought I’d check them out.
They’ve kindly sent me some pieces to try, but I’m still not sure on photographing myself for the world to see; My son may not appreciate seeing it on social media when he hits secondary school!
Wren PVC Bra & Briefs
I love the Wren PVC Bra and High Waisted Briefs set. PVC is not something I’ve tried before as it looks tight and uncomfortable, but these are great. The bra has thin elastic trims and a mesh top cup and the briefs are also elasticated with soft PVC for comfort.
The mesh on the sides of the briefs and high waist design is really flattering on my hips and stomach. These are definitely a bit of me.
Marilyn Bra & Briefs
I like the contour cups on this Marilyn Bra and the taping detail on the High Waisted Briefs. The briefs have a pretty lace design, and the bra helps give the illusion of a fuller bust for this mum-bod.
Eva Body Garnet
This is The Bloke’s fave, and mine too. The Eva Body Garnet comes in black or red and is both comfortable and flattering for curvier bodies.
It’s got strategically placed Rougette signature lace and there’s elastic under the but to give support and an uplift.
My favourite part is the back, as there’s lace panelling at the side of each buttock which enhances my rather round Jamaican derriere!
Brand X Dirty Rider
The Brand X Dirty Rider two-piece set consists of a full support crop top and fishnet skirt and lace thong.
The crop top has skimpy lace up cups and the skirt has a sewn in crotchless thong so it can stay on whilst you’re having fun.
I love the skirt, which is different to the usual thong or briefs that most sets contain, and the peepholes on the bra are quite daring!
Brand X A Rider
The Brand X A Rider has a padded and push up bra and is classed as a caged split crop. The bra can be zipped up or down, which changes the look dramatically.
The high-waisted, deep sided briefs are also zipped so you can open the front, and even the back!
I like the wet look fabric and the design of the bra is both pretty, but very supportive with double straps at the back.
Overall I love all of these looks, some are more elegant for those special lovey-dovey nights, others are for the dirtier fun times. All are great just for myself too- lingerie isn’t just for your partner, it’s to show you how great your body is!
