Beauty Product Review: Liz Earle Superskin Face Serum

22nd September 2015

Liz Earle is a brand that I’ve heard a lot about from older colleagues at work but never actually tried myself.

They have all said the products help to keep their skin in good condition and now that I’m in my thirties this is an area I’m trying to explore!

The Superskin Face Serum aims to even skin tone, lift and firm the skin and also plump and smooth the skin, all of which sounds great to me.

It contains natural ingredients including Persian silk tree extract which helps to rejuvenate tired-looking skin, as well as pomegranate flower extract to help boost collagen (saves on the botox!).

There’s also rhubarb extract which is something I’ve never come across in a beauty product before. This apparently hydrates the skin well which gives the plumping effect.

I’ve been using it for a few days now just before my daily moisturiser and I must admit it’s pretty good.

I’m not a fan of the initial smell of it when I start to use it, I’m guessing it’s the pomegranate and rhubarb that just isn’t particularly a good mix, but as soon as you rub it in the smell is gone.

I leave it to dry for only about thirty seconds and it doesn’t even need that as it absorbs quite quickly and feels lovely. My skin feels like it doesn’t even need the moisturiser on top, which is a rarity with serums!

So if you have recently turned thirty like me and are worrying about your skin, I highly recommend you try this serum.

I'm a big fan of Liz Earle Superskin products and can confirm that it is also brilliant for the more mature skin (I am 54).
