Tip And Tricks To Find Free Stuff Online

19th October 2016
There’s so many different discounts and free products online, and contrary to popular belief, these are often things you need or would use.
Most people enjoy saving money, which is why freebies are so popular.
You do have to be cautious when laying claim to your free stuff though.
Some offers come with strings attached, and you must be a savvy “shopper”
to take advantage of all the best deals, so here are some useful tips:
Avoid Scammers
Always watch out for scammers, particularly online. Scammers
know that many people would do just about anything to get a good deal.
Therefore, you have to be smart.
Before you enter your information in a
website, do your research to find out if it is legitimate.
Always be cautious about what information you do choose to
share. Some sites will want access to your social media profile, for example.
Think about what you want to let the world know about you. Make sure you don’t give too many personal details that would make you vulnerable to identity theft.
Many sites use the term “free” loosely. You may have to exert a bit of effort to get the product, for example. So, you have to decide if what you are getting is worth a few minutes of your time or not.
Don’t just try and score a deal because it is free. Go after deals that you
really like, so you are not wasting your time.
Tip And Tricks To Find Free Stuff

I’ve made the rounds on the Internet, looking at the sites that offer free deals and figuring out what is worth my time and what isn’t.
The following are the sites are some of the better ones in my opinion.

The Best Freebie Sites
Freecycle
Freecycle.org began in the United States. It now has nearly eight million members, making it one of the most popular sites around. If you are from the UK, you can search through a number of different groups, each representing a local area. Members are able to put up ads requesting items that they want as well as things that they have available for others.
WOW FreeStuff
This website is one of the most popular free stuff UK sites, they offer 100’s
of freebies and was created to give there viewers all the latest free stuff,
which includes sending you a daily newsletter.
Gumtree
Members put up things that they would like to buy. They can also purchase items. In addition, members can search for jobs and even pets.
Be Cautious
There’s many sites that are not the most honest or forthcoming, so you have to be careful about which freebie sites you use Some people create freebie websites as a way to get information about people online. They may want to spam you or try and steal your information and use it for their own gain.
In my personal experience, any site that asks you to take a very detailed survey and states that you could get a gift card in return is not usually a good deal. They will occasionally ask for your credit card number; do not give it to them. You do not want to help scammers take advantage of you.
Make a decision ahead of time
regarding what information you want to share. Once you find freebie sites
you trust, go with those.

I agree, so many sites now offer 'freebies' but they often come along with a catch! I have been caught a few times actually. I'm just getting in to Gumtree and Freecycle myself. I'm moving house soon so hoping to get some good stuff to fill the house with that can perhaps be upcycled.

I was hoping to find some local Facebook freebie groups but not sure if there is such a thing?

Follow a blog that regularly gives links to freebies – then you know that they've already 'tested' that site – but be quick because freebies are taken quickly and companies have a limit to the number given away.
